I looked at Noah's paper which was a personal essay about his experience with discus throwing. I enjoyed that there was background information as to why discus was important to him but was abruptly added, it flowed really well. The only thing that was a problem was a few grammatical and spelling errors within the essay. I really enjoyed the monologue that was in the paper where he thanked the discus circle for everything its done. It showed how much it meant to him and gave a real connection to it. The thing I could use within my own paper is include information about my job within the paper and just not list them all out.
I also looked at Maurice's paper which was a short story about his lifeguard job at a community pool in La Doc. The dialogue that he wrote with really made Tony and Ricky seem like real people, I could connect with them based on the way they talked. Some of the descriptions he gave some of the people I didn't quite understand so I had to use context clues to figure out what it was close to meaning. One thing I could use in my own paper is deciding whether or not I want to make my essay a short story.
