Brian's tone at first threw me off, he started off so calmly and then causally mentioned he worked at a Suicide Hotline. After that though I became more interested in the story because that detail caught my attention. I don't really agree with the policy that a caller must ask for help before they can receive help. I know that if someone told me they took actions to commit suicide already, my conscience wouldn't allow me to not help them. I would feel like it's my fault that they've passed away since I was the last one they talked to and told me that they've done it. I feel like I wouldn't be able to live with myself knowing that. I feel this podcast was the help us with the peer profile of the interview that we did. Brian included his last encounter at the Suicide Hotline which was about a college student named Amy and recalled the main points of their conversation. He also interjected his own view of the conversation and what he did afterward, which is what the peer profile is supposed to do.
